Andrea Lazar
A terrific shot! What a great portrait - love the chance to see so much detail of a bird I'd never get to see in person. v.
Tony Beck replied:
Thanks Andrea. These little gems aren't easy to find. But, if you're lucky enough to see one during the day, they typically just sit quietly as you photograph them.
Kathy Sampson
I rescued one of these off of a barbed-wire fence one morning... I unwound him off of the barbs and I took him to the wild life bird rescue to see if they could save him. They sent me a letter that told me he was a full grown male Saw-Whet Owl and that due to his injuries he didn't make it. As tiny as they are, it amazes me when people find them out in the wild and photograph them! They are So Beautiful! F/V
Tony Beck replied:
Thanks Kathy. When we're lucky enough to find them during the day, they typically just perch calmly, with no fear. It's like finding a little treasure in the forest.

Picture Perfect!!! Adorable capture Tony :)

Thank You Lori

Here's looking at you...beautiful little owl! v
Tony Beck replied:
Thanks Marcia. These little owls are very tame. If you're lucky enough to find one during the day (when they normally sleep), they just sit there and allow close approach.
