Thank You Everyone! Making sales are like little victories. And even better than a sale, I just found out that I'll be returning to Antarctica again in November/December - six weeks of glorious photographic adventures.

LOVE this shot! National Geographic, WATCH OUT! Even down to the water dripping off it's tail, the angle, the expressions, EVERYTHING! F, V and g+1!!! :)
Tony Beck replied:
Wow... thanks Michael. That's a great compliment. FYI - this image has been published by several agents in their promotional materials.

Totally outstanding, Tony!! Extremely jealous...can I go next time?? :>) F&V Facebk tweet
Tony Beck replied:
Thanks, and I'd love to have you join us Karol. But, save up your nickels and dimes. It's not cheap. I'm trying to convince the agents to hire me again for next season. Hopefully, there'll be a spot for Nina as well. Wish us luck.

Wonderful capture, I love all your Antarctica photos, hope to go there someday. What company did you go with?
Tony Beck replied:
Thanks Johanne. I usually go with Quest Nature Tours and/or One Ocean Expeditions. Check them out on the web.

Thanks Lynn. Whalewatching can be a life-changing experience. I'm thrilled beyond expectations when the ocean reveals its secrets. And, I consider it a great privilege when I'm allowed to capture it photographically. I simply can't get enough! My advise is for you to get on the water at every opportunity. With a bit of luck and persistence, you might get an amazing shot.

Wow...this is AMAZING!!!I I just went on my first whale watching trip a couple of months ago & can't imagine getting a shot like this! What a thrill it must have been!!! This really gives you a great perspective as to the incredible size of these whales!!

Thanks Nina and Sharon. I remember taking this image, visualizing it moments before it happened. I hope everyone imagines the thrill as all the elements came together - the zodiac perfectly framed underneath the gentle giant's tail, then vanishing into the abyss.
